In the package
Your film panels in the chosen color and size, a matching plug-in transformer, a remote control, the application squeegee and a quick-start guide. Everything you need to install it yourself — no electrician required.
Important Technical Information
Clean the glass thoroughly 3–4 times before installation.
Ensure the glass is completely dry before applying or powering the film.
Dust contamination may cause bubbles and reduce appearance quality.
Moisture trapped under the film may cause electrical short circuits.
Do not allow conductive film edges to contact metal window frames.
Never fold, crease, sharply bend the film.
Store and handle the film only on a clean, flat surface.
Carefully remove protective liners from both sides before installation.
Use the supplied scraper at approximately a 45° angle.
Work slowly in small sections rather than scraping large areas at once.
Verify all wiring connections before applying power.
Protect connectors and wiring from water.
Please kindly cover the adhesive on the edges of smart film, and can not remove the small transparent tape on the electrode copper foil. Please cover the small transparent tape with adhesive. Applying adhesive will extend the life of the smart film.
Use a neutral-cure (pH 7), zero-shrinkage adhesive.
Smart film daily cleaning just use a damp cloth. Please don't use acidic cleaning agents.

PDLC stands for polymer-dispersed liquid crystal. It's a self-adhesive film that bonds to your existing smooth glass, giving you switchable privacy without replacing a single pane.

Clearer when on.
Frosted when off.
The included transformer switches the film's optical state in under a second. “Clear” is not perfectly invisible glass: a slight haze remains, and viewing angle and lighting affect how it looks.

Before installation
A considered fit, from edge to edge.
- Measure each visible glass pane in several places. Record width, length, unit and pane count.
- Check edge clearance, busbar position and the cable route before you apply.
- Use only the included transformer. Never connect the film directly to a wall outlet.
- Follow the quick-start guide. Do not cut the copper busbar edge.
- Test the switch before you remove the final liner and press the film down.

1 in = 2.54 cm. The 8 × 12 in panel is a sample size — order one to test the film on your own glass before a full project.
Customize any standard size
Select a standard size, then choose “Customize this size.” Both your width and length must fall between the two numbers of that standard size, including the endpoints.
Example: 27.5 × 39.5 in allows each dimension from 27.5 to 39.5 in. A 29 × 36 in request fits; 27 × 36 in or 29 × 40 in does not. A square size has identical limits. Your custom panel is priced at the matched standard size.
How to measure
Measure the visible glass at several points, excluding the frame. Use the narrowest width and shortest length. Plan your cable route to the nearest outlet.

How do I choose color, size and a bundle?
Configure everything on this product page: choose Black, Gray or White, select a ready size or Custom Size, then choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 panels. Each ready-size bundle contains one color and one size. Add another configuration separately if your panes differ.
How does Custom Size work?
Choose a standard size, then select “Customize this size.” Enter width and length in inches or centimeters. Both must fall between the two numbers of the selected standard size, including the endpoints. For example, 27.5 × 39.5 in allows a custom 29 × 36 in panel. Select your pack and tell us about the installation. Submit the quote form on this page and we'll confirm fit, final price and lead time by email within 24 hours. No payment is taken until you approve the quote.
Are all three colors available?
Yes. White, Black and Gray are available in every standard size and bundle. Colors on screen are a close approximation — order the 8 × 12 in sample panel if you want to see the finish on your own glass first.
What does switchable privacy film do?
PDLC film changes the way light passes through glass. With the included transformer powered on it becomes clear; when switched off it becomes frosted. It is a privacy surface, not a blackout blind. Actual haze and privacy depend on lighting, viewing angle and distance.
Can I apply it to my existing windows?
Yes — it's designed for smooth, clean indoor glass: windows, sliding doors, partitions and glass doors. For exterior-facing windows, apply it on the inside surface.

Can I cut the film myself?
No — each panel is cut to your chosen size before it ships, and the copper busbar edge must stay intact. If your glass isn't a standard size, choose “Customize this size” and we'll cut it for you.
Does frosted mean completely invisible?
Frosted mode blocks the view through the glass. Someone standing right up against it under strong backlighting may see a faint silhouette, but faces, details and the room behind stay hidden.
How fast is shipping?

What happens during a power outage?
The film returns to frosted (private) mode whenever power is off and switches clear again as soon as power is back. Daylight still comes through in frosted mode.
Can people see in at night?
In clear mode the glass behaves like ordinary glass, so a lit room is visible from outside. Switch to frosted mode and the view is blocked while your lights stay on.
Do I need Wi-Fi, an app or a phone?
No. The included remote and transformer work out of the box. Want to automate it? Plug the transformer into any smart plug or a wall switch.
Is Gray a third switching mode?
No. Black, Gray and White are the color of the film itself. Every color switches the same way: clear when powered, frosted when off.
What should I send with a custom-size request?
Give each pane a label, then record its visible glass width and length, units and quantity. Note the frame, handle or hinge positions and the preferred cable exit. Include these details in the project notes and we'll confirm the final drawing with you before production.
Can I remove and reuse the film?
The film is designed for a single application. It can be removed with gentle heat and slow pulling, but it won't re-adhere — so measure carefully and plan the position before you install.
